About Woodlawn's Giving
By the conclusion of the 2008 Globalfest missions emphasis week, Woodlawn's contributions to missions exceeded $2,000,000
dollars (over its 50+ year history). The church's current policy
is to contribute 24% of its total annual budget to a mix of missions that include local and global evangelism, local
and global benevolence, and Christian education. Note that until 2012, debt service for pre-existing capital stewardship
committments is subtracted before the mission's percentage is computed. Based on the 2009 budget, Woodlawn's mission giving is
expected to be about $98,000.
In addition to budgeted mission's giving, a special mission's offering is taken during our
annual Globalfest mission's emphasis week. The goal for 2009 is an additional $25,000, bringing total missions giving for the
year to $123,000.
