Woodlawn Men's Ministry

Imagine the transforming power of men coming together within our church and community to honestly examine their lives and take the courageous steps necessary to embrace authentic manhood on a journey to become who God intends them to be.

When men connect in life-changing ways, a powerful ripple effect touches families, workplaces, and the church. Deeper connections with God and other men inspire them to connect more meaningfully in all facets of their lives. They climb beyond the walls of isolation and aspire to a biblical viewpoint marked by integrity, boldness, and compassion.

What is Men's Fraternity?

Men's Fraternity is a series of three one-year-long studies, beginning with The Quest for Authentic Manhood. More than just a rally or a Bible study, Men's Fraternity provides men with an encouraging process that teaches them how to live lives of authentic manhood as modeled by Jesus Christ and directed by the Word of God.

Men's Fraternity is designed to help men come together and strengthen each other through weekly sessions that combine biblical teaching and small group interaction.

The class begins Sunday, September 27 at 6:30 pm. Contact Dwayne Curry if you have any questions.

How does Men's Fraternity work at Woodlawn?

Men meet weekly to discuss lectures that they have listened to in preperation for the meeting. The process is simple:

  1. Obtain a login name and password by contacting the course administrator.

  2. Enter your login name and password on the right side of this webpage and press the ENTER (or RETURN) key.

  3. One or more audio lectures by Robert Lewis are shown in the right sidebar. Click the one you want.

  4. Listen to the posted MP3 file whenever you like--on your iPod at the gym, in the car, at your desk at work, or at home.

  5. Meet from 6:30 - 7:30 pm on Sunday evening at Woodlawn to discuss what you've heard, go over additional material, and interact in a small group setting.
Small groups provide an environment where men are free to talk openly and confidentially about what they heard and express mutual support for one another. They are critical to getting the most out of the Men's Fraternity process.
